Sharepoint: Condividere dati tra siti diversi

Spesso è sconsigliato mettere mani al DB di WSS, anche se può essere un caso di studio interessate, se pensiamo alla sua destrutturazione. In questo articolo viene illustrato un esempio pratico di una tecnica "molto invasiva" per collegare dati tra diverse webpart in siti diversi WSS ma rapida e efficiente. Invece di utilizzare le Webpart connection offerte da Frontpage 2003 che non fanno altro che collegare solo in visualizzazione i dati di altre fonti, in questo esempio vederemo come effettuare una copia "speculare" di una webpart senza scrivere codice managed ma solo del T-SQL.

Errore non conosciuto questo e tra l'altro non si trova del materiale in giro..... forse perchè è banale, si forse per quelli di Microsoft ma non per quelli che mi hanno scritto. rendo pubblico l'help cosi da aiutare più persone possibili.

Si tratta solamente di modificare il settaggio del nostro IE, infatti non è un errore del server ma del nostro client. Bisogna modificare le impostazioni di security delle nostre Internet options:

"Options"/"Tools"/"Internet Options" -----> Internet Security Zone "Custom Level"------> "Access data sources across domains" qui possiamo scegliere enable/disable/notify... è inutile dirvi che sarebbe opportuno mettere notify :-)

Ah, dimenticavo ricordatevi anche di mettere tra i "safe sites" l'url del vostro server di lavoro per evitare altri problemi derivati da questo.

For italian reader only: In questo post scrivo le mie impressioni ed analisi riguardo ali aspetti più importanti trattati durante l'ultima conferenza a Copenhagen, oltre a scusarmi della lingua utilizzata volevo sottolineare la mancata presenza alla conferenza dei gruppi di ricerca di alcune delle più grandi software house (es: Microsoft, Adobe) i commenti sono aperti!

Abstract

The Electronic Government is a fast-moving field. Sometimes the citizen, aren’t being able to perceive its real potential. Information about E-Gov isn’t share in a pyramidal architecture but only between academy networks and not accessible for citizen and Information workers, those are on the extremity of this process. Sometimes, the major software house doesn’t like participate at these conferences and produce software within an appropriate approach. This article provides both an exchange on the state of affairs concerning e-government developments and approach

Introduction

This article focuses on the following part:

• Visions, and frameworks
• Architectures and interoperability
• Process and Knowledge structuring
• E-participation

Architecture and interoperability

The principal architecture used for e-government solutions is SOA (Service oriented Architecture), its allows four essential futures: 1) maintaining the independence and equality among participant institutions, 2) no modification of the information system of participant assemblies, 3) interoperability between different environment, 4) an efficient security mechanism. Very important is the security component, is a main factor for a successful performance system. In the field of e-government the use of an efficient security model presents advantages such as: the different responsibilities are clearly distinguished, a transparency approach of Web Services modules respect to the security model, an authenticate session for each user for all legislative documents. The interoperability among public sector applications is made by using integration of new and existing application architecture to support different levels and functions of e-government services vertically and horizontally. A popular approach for dealing with these integration and interoperability issues is the establishment of Enterprise Architecture (EA) programs in many public administrations (PAs). Finally, the interoperability must be defined broader as the ability of information system and the business process they support, to exchange data and enable sharing of information.

Process and knowledge structuring

The realization of e-Government projects made it possible the development of a large number of IT solutions for the workflow management. A suitable analysis of the adopted solutions shows the lack of proper and adequate workflow management models. In particular, interoperability and standard compilation interfaces of document models have to be properly taken into account in order to not to constraint a Public Administration (PA) to necessarily use close systems. Many workflow solutions allows to overcome the problem of “data tracking” through the procedures of workflow management and to manage a knowledge repository system that can be queried by both internal and external actors of the system also through the web (e.g. web services). This is possible also by using an Intelligent Document and a support platform for its. In this case, the main futures of an intelligent document are:

·        Multi Composed, an Intelligent Document has to contain information both on its state and on the application domain in which its formation and/or distribution origins. The processes or the users has to mutually compete to its creation;  

·        Multi Version, the data truck has to be guaranteed from the persistence of the various versions of the file. Every office of the public administration and/or external public administrations will have only to compile the part of the document that are within their competences; 

·        Multi Dependence, it consists in the creation of the electronic document from a collection of other documents, through a modular architecture that is specialized according to the application domain, in which it is produced; 

·        Multi Data type, more types of data have the possibility to cohabit inside the structure of the Intelligent Document, if otherwise specified in the file schema; 

·        Multi Platform, the formation and use of the Intelligent Document they have to assure the interoperability at the application level;

A support platform for its has to include the following futures:

·        Point-To-Point Architecture, through this architecture the public administration participants reside on a same level of interaction, with the advantage of having no dependences on any system.

·        Orchestration, the interoperability by more public administrations in the compilation of an Intelligent Document it’s quite frequent;

·        Interoperability, through the sharing of a common ontology for the classification of structures of common models, every public administration has both the possibility to specialize the existing ontology inside its application domain and to share information and/or the same ontology with the others public administrations. The interoperability is also implemented from an application point of view as a data interchange using XML, that allows data access independently from the time and in a mutual way.

E-participation

The principal question about this argument is: In what way has ICT been used as a democratic tool for citizen participation? A complete answer is represents by a list of five principal criteria:

·        Inclusion, a democratic process must include all adults that belong to the society and who subject to the decisions made by society;

·        Effective participation, before making a decision all citizens must have “adequate and equal opportunities” for making their views and preferences know;

·        Voting equality at the decisive stage, all citizens must be given the opportunity to express their choices at the decisive stage and every choice must be counted as equal in weight. It means that the process stresses political equality between the citizens

·        Enlightened understanding, every citizen must have adequate and equal opportunities for investigating alternatives to the choice on the agenda and the consequences;

·        Control of agenda, the citizens as a group must be sovereign. It means that people in society have the exclusive opportunity to the decide how the agenda is composed;

Il senso della vita.....

Dopo questo post di Marco, voglio condividere con voi alcune considerazioni di Linus Torwalds a proposito del senso della vita dal suo punto di vista. Mi ricordavo tempo fa di aver letto una sua biografia, e rovistando ho ritrovato delle sue impressioni che condivido, cito testualmente:

"é fondamentalmente breve e dolce. Non darà alcun significato alla tua vita, ma ti dice cosa succederà. Allora ci sono tre cose importanti nella vita. Sono i fattori che motivano qualsiasi cosa tu faccia, per qualsiasi cosa chiunque faccia. Il primo è la sopravvivenza, il secondo l'ordine sociale, il terzo il divertimento. Tutto, nella vita, procede in questo ordine. E dopo il divertimento non c'è nient'altro. Quindi da un certo punto di vista questo vuol dire che il senso della vita è ragiungere la terza fase. E una volta raggiunta la terza fase, hai finito. Ma prima devi passare attarverso le altre due.

ti farò qualche sempio. Quello più ovvio è il sesso. Iniziato come sopravvivenza, poi è diventato una questione sociale. E' per questo che ci si sposa. E poi diventato divertimento, basta vedere qualche film! Prendi un altro esempio, la guerra. E' ovvio che sia iniziata come sopravvivenza, perchè c'è un tizio fra te e la fonte dell'acqua. Poi inizi a combattere per una moglie. E oi la querra diventa una questione di ordine sociale, già da molto tempo prima del Medioevo. A nessuno interessa l'ordine sociale di per sè ma a tutti interessa il proprio posto in quell'ordine. Non interessa se sei un pollo in batteria o un essere umano, da questo punto di vista. Adesso la guerra è divertimento, per tutti quelli che la guardano in tv, i videogiochi...

arriviamo quindi alla tecnologia, qui la sopravvivenza è utilizzata per -sopravivere meglio-, vuol dire costruire un mulino a vento che tiri fuori l'acqua dal pozzo, adesso l'ordine sociale è attuale, pensate al telefonino, la televisione, quello che viviamo oggi, il fatto che più mi preoccupa è che sta diventando già divertimento. Mi domando a questo punto cos'altro resta da fare?"

Carino e funzionale, tutto quello che volete ma non ho capito perchè la versione nuova porta sempre dietro gli stessi proplemi di installazione ed incompatibilità!

Finalmente a casa, prima di scrivere considerazioni sulla conferenza e ciò che gira intorno ad essa faccio i "complimenti" ai servizi di trasporto italiani:

• Roma - San Benedetto del Tronto 7 H (via treno)

comunque l'importante essere tornati al calduccio della riviera adriatica! Un'altro piccolo appunto da fare è sulle connesioni negli Hotel "Hollidey In", una connessione giornaliera costa 150 DK (circa € 20,11) un pò tantino??

Veniamo a noi, penso di aver spiegato cosa è la EGOV Conference nei miei post precedenti, vi ricordo solo che è la più importante conferenza annuale nel campo internazionale per le soluzioni di Egovernment, la sua rilevanza sta anche nel fatto che viene ospitata abitualmente all'interno della DEXA Conference (Database and EXpert System Applications), in aggiunta gli articoli che vengono autorizzati dai refferals vengono pubblicati da Springer. (Il mio incluso, beata umiltà!).

Comunque oltre a consigliarvi di acquistare le lecture notes per avere una idea di quello che succede/rà nel campo dell'informatica terotica ed applicata vi dò alcune pillole dalla conferenza:

• Il problema del voto elettronico è alle soglie della sua risoluzione, o meglio si è lasciata per adesso da parte l'implementazione seria "Stay at Home" (ad ese: politiche) e si sperimenterà, per primo in america come framework per elezioni amministrative e sondaggi in genere.
• Le amministrazioni pubbliche investiranno sempre più in progetti di E-Gov, ed i soldi non sono finiti (per i maligni del settore), anzi se non ci sono la UE dà una mano. facendosi carico di attuare nuovi progetti a livello europeo. Questo non perchè, i soldi dei contribuenti vanno buttati, ma anzi, i progetti di E-Gov sembrano gli unici a funzionare, o più che altro a fare notizia ed essere lustro per i politici. Poi se i cittadini non li utilizzano, è un'altro paio di maniche.
• Le tendenze per le piattaforme collaborative vanno sempre più in drezione di MAS (Multi Agent System) e programamzione xml_oriented in generale, anche adottando .Net Framework (cosa che mi allieta) e non andando continuamente a modificare la JVM.
• Niente a riguardo di Mobile Device per l'E-Gov, come è plausibile.......ma qualcosa al riguardo di GML (Geo Modelling Language) ed Retrive Geo-Information via Web, tipo maps.google.com ma con scopi di servizi ai cittadini.

In particolare mi soffermoi su qualche lavoro, che ritengo interessante:

• "Siges-Pere: A collaborative GIS for Radiological Disaster Management", finalmente UML lo utilizzano anche per qualcosa di serio!
• "Knowledge Engineering Suite: A tool to create ontologies for Automatic Knowledge Representation in Knowledge-Based System", qui utilizzano Protègèe veramente bene!
• "Electronic Voting: An All-Purpose Platform", questo è il framework per le sperimentazioni che accennavo prima!
• "Personalized Access to Multi-version Norm text in an e-Government Scenario", by unibo, veramente u modo nuovo per fare Information Retrival sul web!
• "An e-Goverment WS Platforms in the semantic web", questo lo utilizzerò anche io per il prossimo lavoro, si tratta di un framework per la rintracciabilità ed il traking delle informazioni!
• "Towards an Ontology for knowledge Organisation in the field of e-Government", questi spagnoli hanno cercato di creare una ontologia per la PA! difficiletto :-)

Oggi ho relazionato alle 16,00 il mio lavoro: E-Gov Administrative and Semantic Cooperation: The Role of Intelligent Document, ho avuto delle difficoltà per la terza domanda dl pubblico ma alla fine anche questo è superato.... quando torno approfondirò le tendenze del "Advance Web Technologies" e dell'Egov in particolare, a livello europeo si intende!!

Mark Harrison, mette a disposizione links ai produttori free/pay per soluzioni di estenzione per WSS e Portal, niente di meno permette l'upload di tool da pubblicizzare sul blog. L'upload viene eseguito tramite una form in Infopath, sarebbe il caso di provarlo con il nuovo IE7, per vedere se funziona?? Gia fatto?? Qualche pecca??
